Ride deep into the breathtaking desert landscapes of Wadi Rum, where vast valleys and towering sandstone formations create one of the most spectacular settings in the Middle East. Following ancient Bedouin routes, you’ll cross open desert plains and pass remarkable landmarks such as Lawrence of Arabia’s House and the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, spending evenings in traditional desert camps beneath extraordinary star-filled skies.

Choose between a 7-day Wadi Rum desert trek, or extend the journey to 9 days, adding a visit to the Dead Sea the lowest point on Earth; float effortlessly in its mineral-rich waters, renowned for their healing properties and surreal beauty. The perfect way to unwind after your desert adventure.

Adventure Level 2 — Explorer

  • Sample Itinerary

    • Day 1 — Arrival. A driver will pick you up at Amman Airport and drop you off in a Hotel in Madaba.

    • Day 2 — Transfer to Petra
      Pick-up in Madaba and transfer to Petra. Drop off at the shuttle stop to take you to the starting point of the trek to the Treasury. Once you finish your trek, head back to your hotel (walking distance) to have dinner and an early night.

    • Day 3 — Transfer to Wadi Rum. Early rise- After breakfast you will be driven to the stables. Meet your guide and horses before setting out on your first ride through the vast landscapes of Wadi Rum. First night in the desert.

    • Days 4–6 — Desert Trekking
      Four more full days of riding through the ever-changing scenery of Wadi Rum — from wide open valleys and rolling sand dunes to narrow canyons and striking rock formations.
      The pace is adapted to the group, with opportunities for long trots and canters across open terrain.
      Evenings are spent around the fire, with Bedouin dinners, tea under the stars, and complete immersion in the desert.

    • Day 7 — Return to Amman
      Final morning ride before returning to the stables. Transfer back to Amman. We will take you for a very special dinner in one of the best restaurants in the capital (get those city clothes back!). Drop off at the airport after dinner.

    Travel Notes

    • Day 1 — Arrival in Madaba
      Arrival in Amman, where you will be met and transferred to Madaba, a historic town known for its mosaics and quiet charm. Depending on arrival time, there is the option to explore locally before settling in for the evening.

    • Day 2 — Petra
      Transfer to Petra and explore the ancient Nabataean city at your own pace — from the Siq to the Treasury, the colonnaded street, and the Monastery. Overnight near Petra.

    • Day 3 — Into Wadi Rum
      Transfer to the desert and meet your horses. Begin riding through the dramatic landscapes of Wadi Rum, easing into the rhythm of the journey. First night under the stars.

    • Days 4–6 — Desert Trekking
      Ride deeper into the desert, crossing vast valleys, canyons, and sand dunes. Days are spent in the saddle at a relaxed but steady pace, with opportunities for trots and canters across open terrain.
      Evenings are spent around the fire, with Bedouin hospitality, fireside dinners, and nights under expansive desert skies. Along the way, pass iconic sites including Lawrence of Arabia’s House, natural rock arches, and ancient inscriptions.

    • Day 7 — Return to Madaba
      Final ride through the desert before returning to the stables. Transfer back to Madaba for the evening.

    • Day 8 — Dead Sea
      Day at the Dead Sea, with time to relax and unwind at a resort, enjoying the unique landscape and mineral-rich waters. Transfer back to Amman. We will take you for a very special dinner in one of the best restaurants in the capital (get those city clothes back!).

    *Drop off at the airport after dinner is available if you have a night flight back.

    • Day 9 — Departure
      Transfer to the airport for departure.
